About your Guide

Hillary was born and raised in Arizona and spent her earlier years exploring Sedona, the Grand Canyon and the beautiful landscapes of the high desert. Join her for this special retreat as she shares the secrets of Sedona, including some of it's hidden gems, cafes, restaurants, hikes, and shops. 


Hillary is an experienced, registered yoga instructor (E-RYT 500) with the Yoga Alliance, and has been teaching yoga for the last 12+ years. She has led teacher training programs and yoga retreats around the world, including in Napa Valley, Santorini, Marrakesh, and Tulum. She looks forward to sharing her home-state beauty with you this year! 

Terms & Conditions

This trip is directly organized by Hillary Acer, E-RYT 500. Due to the nature of organizing a private trip and the financial investment for group travel, deposits are non-refundable. All final payments must be made 90 days prior to the start of the trip and we appreciate your understanding. 


All participants must sign a wavier and agreement to secure their space on this retreat. These can be sent in advance of your deposit by emailing the organizer of the trip. 


All participants are encouraged to secure travel insurance in case of emergency.

    We encourage exploration, especially before or after the retreat, but extra excursions will be yours to organize
  • Airport Transfer
    We will cover most transportation in Sedona, however, depending on your arrival and departure times, you may need to rent a care or arrange your own transit.

    Choose the best flights that work for your schedule. We recommend staying a few extra days -- Grand Canyon anyone?!

Yoga is a sanctuary for Hillary, a place to reconnect, center and slow down. Her classes draw from carefully crafted, alignment-based sequences that invite students to explore balance, concentration, and calm amidst any challenge. She encourages all bodies and minds to step onto the mat and move, embracing the philosophy that yoga can benefit everyone in some way. She has been studying anatomy and kinesiology for many years. She received a B.A. in Biology from UC Berkeley, conducted researched in Neuroscience labs, and assisted Physical Therapists, all of which contribute to her knowledge as a yoga teacher. She is a E-RYT Yoga-Alliance Certified Instructor and continues to study yoga with Jason Crandell and Annie Carpenter and Insight Meditation under Will Kabat-Zinn.

We had a great time. The location was beautiful, food was decent, lodging comfortable and yoga was great, especially the outdoor sessions. Few items for improvements: 1) Room was comfortable. Beds and beddings were great. However it was described as Garden View, but most of the view is the parking lot. It was a bit of a let down on the view part. 2) Dinner food was decent, but portion was kind of small. 2.) Brunches were great. More variety for brunches would be nice (perhaps mixing up the menu one of the day). 3) Wine tasting was a nice event. Really enjoyed it; but again the food portion (cheeses and crackers) were so little that it was hardly enough to enjoy. Please increase portions. 4) Should work out the procedure of bills for extra dinner items such as drinks better. It was a bit disconcerting to be chased down by the servers after every meal. Service was a bit slow.

Beautiful venue and even better yoga practice. If you have the opportunity to go to a retreat led by Hillary Acer, I highly encourage you to do so. I left the retreat feeling refreshed and longing for more yoga with Hillary.

Hands down this was the best vacation I have ever given myself. Hillary Acer organized the most thoughtful, relaxing, and fun retreat in an absolutely beautiful location. Hillary is an amazing yoga instructor. Timber Cove is a beautifully renovated lodge on the CA coast with the kindest staff. I left this retreat feeling rejuvenated and joyful. A heartfelt thank you for all who contributed to the success of this weekend.
