About this trip

This travel program is open to young activists and scholars of all backgrounds ages 18-30. Participants gain valuable insights through chats, tours, hands-on projects, leadership workshops, and cultural activities in the provinces that we will visit. This program offers youth the opportunity to learn about a range of sustainability and climate issues while interacting with leaders in fields such as eco-tourism, recycling, horticulture, river and ecological restoration, coral restoration, among others! Our curriculum helps emerging leaders hone their leadership styles, improve their strategy and organizational development, and strengthen their outreach to diverse constituencies.

Limited scholarships will be available for socially and economically disadvantaged youth ages 18-30 who demonstrate a strong commitment to climate and sustainability.

We strongly believe in the need for lifelong skill development and peer support. Upon completion of this experiential service learning and leadership program, participants are eligible to share their experience at events and conferences, attend additional trainings, and take active roles in the development of our public programming. They can continue to expand their professional network through networking events, collaborative partnerships, and mentoring within the Globetrotting Dominicana community.
