On our first aprez day, we leave the many option over to you. We suggest no biking today, instead, have a great day out to any of our suggestion in our page related to our non-biking activities. This is our flagship Cabernet Sauvignon terroir. We start the day with the technical Mont Marie trails, followed by Dornier`s trails which carries on forever. After descending Stellenzicht, the Wine Pod might stop you in your tracks. There is still Alto and the sporty themed Ernie Els Wine Estate. Lunch venues a plenty on route

Our proud Mother City is not to be missed. A brisk 45 minute journey take you to the heart where Table Mountain wraps her wondrous cliffs around you. Option a plenty, even ascending one of the new 7 Natural Wonders of the Earth, but our pick will be the open deck bus ride around both oceans. The get off at the Waterfront for lunch… we bet you will stay for dinner

This is South African trails at its best. After the early morning long climb out of the valley, you certainly will be rewarded to a combination of incredible vistas and mouthwatering smooth manicured single tracks Banhoek Chilly Oil Co will look after your continued smile with a pizza and a tantalizing bite towards the end.

Pack your bags! We take the scenic route past Hermanus – the whale-watching center of South Africa. Bryde`s, Humpback and Southern Right Whales come close to the rocks as the water is deep enough for them, and this makes it spectacular viewing to see these colossal giants. Enjoy the sleepy sea-side town with ample bistros and bars stretch out on its rocky shores, before moving on to your boutique hotel in a secluded valley.

The trails of Stanford valley and Beloftebos are rugged but very soft on the eye! Enjoy this circular route with views over the Overberg, before diving down the single track home – or – take the road least travelled to Gansbaai where you have a splendid lunch, fresh out of the blue waters of Walker Bay.

Travel a mere 20 min by road, you enter Kleinbaai and its small harbor. Here you will find your way out to sea and towards Dyer Island- home of some of the largest Great White Sharks in the whole wide world. See the waters turn darks as the shadowy figure dips underneath your vessel – or – get into the cage and visit the beasts down there…

• We are travelling through the rolling hills of the South Cape with the Langeberg range to the north – that is part of the Southern Great Escarpment, the second longest mountain range in the world. Once you have cross it, the vegetation and climate changes into semi-desert terrain. This is where you will stay for the next 3 days.
• Your host and guide, will entertain you with typical food of South Africa. The day program start with an early rise… early. This is for two reasons – for one, here it can get very hot around mid-day. Then there is the abundance of wild animals who like to come out early to all the water holes. There are 13 species of big antelope, Giraffe, Zebra and Wildebeest. You will see them on your ride,   giving you this rare experience to have an African safari from the saddle of your bike! 

When San Francisco Banker, Nicky Marais decided to come back to his country of birth, he invested heavily in an old forgotten jewel of a farm in this hostile and arid land. It is now transformed into a lush home for many wild animal species. You will be finished for a home made and local brunch, before returning to the wild frontier once more to have drinks with an  exquisite African sunset.

You would have met Corrie in Stellenbosch. Now ride the trails he and his team built. There are plenty hidden trails above your accommodation, consistng of more technical riding. The lie of the land came first, where hill crests were singled out to add to a unique flow. Then it is over to the wild side for more animals. The day will be complete Afican experience with a typical late afternoon South African braai.

Homeward bound. An early rise may result in a short ride before we move over to see his lordship. Aquila Private Game Reserve is home to Africa`s Big 5.  You will have two game drives and here you will stay your last night in luxury accommodation, surrounded by the sounds that make Africa so unique.

A mere 2 hours’ drive from the Cape Town International airport. And so the Cape Safari Adventure comes to a close. We hope to see you soon!
