We meet entrepreneurs and leaders who illustrate their country’s economic and social trajectory. Specialized experiences help us better understand culture and history. We do all this as a small, curious-minded community.
Rwanda. It's known for coffee, gorillas and a genocide past told through Hotel Rwanda..
Kigali is not what most expect from a major African capital. When I first visited, I walked around wondering Where Am I? But the world is discovering this small, landlocked, country of nearly 13 million people that's executing on its big vision for itself. Kigali is called The Most Inviting City in Africa. Whether in technology, healthcare, hospitality, entrepreneurship or gender equality, the citizens of Rwanda are proud to share their vision--for their life, family, and country.
Through this unique experience, you'll personally participate in the Rwanda success story. Your learnings will be the most practical and memorable souvenirs. But don't leave too soon--we encourage you to take advantage of only-in-Rwanda excursions, including Rwanda's famed gorilla trekking.

Medical Recommendations and Immunization Information
All trip participants should visit their doctor at least 4-6 weeks in advance of their departure date. Malaria is present, but not common in Kigali. Participants should ask their doctor for recommendations about malaria pills and other travel medications and immunizations. It is best to travel with all of the medicines you need. However, most medications can be purchased over the counter from the city’s many pharmacies. When in country, tap water is not safe--drink only bottled water.
For more information on immunizations either recommended or needed for travel to Rwanda, please visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website.
Travel Insurance
We recommend that participants purchase travel insurance, or ensure their regular insurance plans cover travel-related illnesses and injuries. Insurance must cover personal injury, medical expenses, repatriation expenses, and evacuation expenses. All participants are requested to provide insurance information prior to travel. We strongly recommended you also obtain coverage for trip cancellation, interruption, curtailment, and for personal property.
International SOS offers membership to a complete network of travel assistance including travel advice, medical assistance overseas, and a global ‘911’ service including emergency medical evacuation. Sign up at least one day in advance of your trip. Membership is generally under $15 USD/day. Other recommended providers include World Nomads, Redpoint Resolutions and AIG Travel Guard®.
