      About this trip

This pilgrimage begins with a sweeping motion back in time to 500 years ago when the Spanish conquistadors were meeting the powerful Aztec empire.  The Spanish were bringing with them the Christian faith and what the Aztecs had been longing for for 1,000 years as recorded in their poetry and the art in their marvelous temples was a type of existence that had the sounds and joys and visions of paradise.  The flowers that they saw around them were a sign to them of this eternal reality that they longed for.

When the gospel of Christ was preached to them and the flowers gathered in the tilma of Juan Diego was a lightning bolt which brought together the deepest faith of the Christian conquers together with the deepest hopes of the more primitive Aztec people because gathering flowers in the tilma was a metaphor for processing the truth.

So our journey with 2 scholars who have spent years researching the pre-christian Aztec culture will shed an entirely new light on why the Aztec people were so receptive to the appearance of Our Lady of Guadalupe on the tilma that carried the flowers from the hilltop of Tepeyac.

Therefore not only will you see where this all happened, you will have a new insight to see and understand the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe and why the 8 million plus Aztec people were so receptive to the apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

To understand the Flower World Prophecy, we began with the archaeological ruins to reveal the inception of Flower World Ideas, then gradually built up the revelation of the apparitions on Tepeyac in order to show the preparation God gave to the different people of Mesoamerica finally paying off in the Guadalupe story.

We then travel north to the magnificent Sanctuary of Cristo Rey and to the beautiful city of Guanajuato before heading back to Mexico City for another visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe before heading to the Xochimilco Canals for a beautiful boat ride.

I find it hard to put into words how wonderful this trip was. First of all, the accomodations were excellent; the food was delicious and plentiful; all the places we visited were beautiful and thought -provoking. Also all travel accomodations were expertly handled. However, the pious nature of this pilgrimage was what I am taking home with me and continuing to ponder daily. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who feels called to a deeply spiritual pilgrimage. It will truly bring you closer to the face of Christ, our Blessed Mother, and to God Himself!

All was as we expected . Excellent presentations by Fr Charles Murr each day. Carmona Convento was a very well managed and safe place to stay as our home for the week. We would return there if planning another visit. Travel was planned on first rate buses with professional drivers. The event at Fr Murr’s residence was a pleasant surprise and was very enjoyable. A memorable evening! The Seville trip could have had some better planning ahead of time we were unable to participate in a few venues due to tickets being unavailable and that was disappointing for many of us. Would have enjoyed time in the Cathedral.

This was a wonderful pilgrimage! I am impressed by the vastness of the land, farms , rivers and lakes. The Catholic-European influence in the Heartland of Mary is undeniable. I enjoyed the Catholic spirit that was present among the pilgrims and at our accommodations. Thanks for all the work that went into planning this beautiful event.
