Flight fatigue what? After well deserved rest we are off for a guided visit of a city that never seems to sleep. We will visit new and old landmarks, learn about the history of an imperial city and its heritage. A day in Marrakech is never complete without some rooftop chilling overlooking the red city. A second epic dinner in one of Marrakech's amazing restaurant is awaiting us. We finish the evening on the rooftop of our Riad or dancing the night away. What will you choose? 

And so our road trip begins and we leave the red city. But first, enjoy a royal Moroccan breakfast on the rooftop of the Riad, overlooking the Marrakech medina. After a drive through the Atlas mountains, we stop at kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, declared as World Heritage by UNESCO. We continue through numerous valleys  from which the breath taking Rose Valley. A place which is home to some of North Africa’s most remote and ancient villages and populations. We then gently end our day with a cup of Moroccan tea on our hotel’s rooftop whilst breathing in fresh mountain air.

And as we feast on a tagine, a staple food of the region that comes served in an earthenware pot, you might never want to leave.

We discover the kasbah of Ouarzazate and her amazing palmtree scenery.  Our journey continues through numerous valleys  from which the breath taking Rose Valley. Our first activity is a walk through the magnificent canyons of Dades. While in our walking shoes, we enjoy the scenery by foot. Boumalne Dades will be our final destination of the day. We enjoy a frehly made mint tea on the rooftop overlooking the breathtaking scenery of mountains and greenery.

After a well deserved rest we start the day with a fresh breakfast. The adventure continues while passing the great Jbel Saghrou in Nqoub. You won’t get bored while we’re going from point a to b as we are driving along one of the most beautiful routes of Morocco. Car sleepers might feel some FOMO pressure here! We visit the pottery workshop in Tamgroute and the biggest library of North Africa. We then reach Daraa Valley to then arrive at the last city before entering the desert. We will spend the night in M'Hamid El Ghizlane, the last city with asphalt roads.

From M'Hamid El Ghizlane we will cross into the sand dunes with our SUV’s until we reach our final destination in the Sahara. A route about 65km deep into the desert through the old route of Paris- Dakar leads us to the heart of the desert, Erg Cheggaga. To top this experience off we will enjoy the luxury of an extraordinary desert camp. Our Saharan friends will be awaiting us for a Dromedary ride. A horizon of 45km of dunes and a stunning sunset brings us elegantly to wards the evening. Meantime, the camp is being made ready for dinner and a night with cosy campfires. The blankets made out of stars are out for those who want to be covered in nature’s bliss and sleep outside.

This day is the day of a lifetime. Enjoy the silence and peace of the desert. There is plenty of time to ponder about life, journaling, meditating or to try and keep balancing on a sandboard. Lay back with your feet in the sand and relax. 

After breakfast we return to the 4x4’s to cross the desert through a dry lake which is an area of fossils before returning to the asphalt. From there we will make a stop in Taznakth to wander between the handmade Amazigh carpets. We continue our road through a different high Atlas scenery. Equally as marvelous yet different as our first Atlas itinerary. We will reach Marrakech where we will unwind and enjoy a delicious dinner.

This is a free day dedicated to the chillers under us enjoying a hammam and/or a massage, to the shopaholics and to those who want to explore the epic Marrakech rooftops one more time. As all beautiful things should be celebrated, so will we. Dress up in your most fancy clothes or caftans. Our last dinner will be served in an amazing atmosphere. Those who would love to show us their footwork one more time at a party are welcomed!
