      Safe & Responsible Travel

We're committed to ensuring our trips remain safe for everyone — for our travelers, our leaders and crew, and the people we visit along the way. As responsible travelers, anyone who chooses to travel with us has a duty of care to themselves and the people around them. Travelers are required to comply with local regulations and laws.

What are the medical and vaccination requirements? Medical and general vaccination requirements differ between nations and as we are not medical practitioners, we unfortunately cannot advise on this issue. Please see your local GP or travel doctor for details and advice about current vaccination requirements.

We believe vaccinations play a key role in saving lives and helping to keep people safe. Around 70% of the world is vaccinated against COVID-19 but vaccination rates remain low in some of the destinations and communities we visit.   Therefore proof of up to date COVID Vaccine is required on all of our trips.

We specialize in tours for adults only. We take you away from your everyday world and the necessary distractions of family life.

      Passport & Visa

All travelers must have a valid passport for international travel and many countries require at least 6 months validity from the date of return. Some countries also require a machine-readable passport and/or unstamped available pages. When assisting with an international travel booking, we will assume that all travelers on the booking have a valid passport. If this is not the case, you must let us know. It is important to ensure you have valid passports, visas and re-entry permits which meet the requirements of immigration and other government authorities. Any fines, penalties, payments, delay or expenditures incurred as a result of such documents not meeting the requirements of those authorities will be your sole responsibility.

Hi! We are Melissa & Wade. We have been traveling full time for almost 7 years and taking you along with us for the last few years. We invite you to see the world with us on a budget as we explore destinations through culture, food, nature and art.

I’ve just returned from another fantastic trip with Penny Pinching Globetrotter. This is my third time travelling with PPG. Melissa and Wade work very hard to arrange amazing destinations, well planned activities, top notch accommodations, and comfortable transportation. I read the initial itinerary when I first book a trip, and forget the details as time passes. But when I arrive, everyday feels like Christmas morning, with a nice little surprise or gift location, I never thought I’d experience. Sitting back, taking it all in, and truly being immersed in a new culture or part of the world, Melissa and Wade help make it happen for me. Looking forward to much more travel ahead. Thank you!!

The Thailand beaches trip was AMAZING! It was such a great group of adventures! Having travelled with a number of them on the northern Thailand trip—the group quickly became a close. Our accommodations were nice. Again, there was a great mix of activities, outings and free time. I think my favorite thing about both the northern trip and the beaches trip— was the fact that Melissa and Wade really tried to give us a taste of what the true culture was like though everything that they planned. Thank you Melissa and Wade for helping to give us all memories that will last a lifetime! I’m really looking forward to my next trip with Penny Pinching Globe Trotters. My only hope, is that it’s not quite as hot! LOL

Thank you Wade and Melissa for an incredible experience! Being the first time I had ever travelled with PPGT I was a bit skeptical. I have travelled a lot, however, I had never done a group trip before. It will certainly not be my last. Traveling with Penny Pinching Globe Trotters was such a positive experience. As a “mature” woman whose husband doesn’t like international travel, this group was really a perfect fit. If you are looking to travel with a group—PPGT is perfect. The groups are kept small (usually about 16 people) so it allows you to really get to know your fellow travelers. You start out as strangers and end las friends and future travel partners! Melissa and Wade put so much thought into accommodations, activities and experiences—all while keeping the price affordable. The trip was a wonderful mix of cultural experiences, interesting activities such as a visit to an organic farm, a tea farm, cooking class, elephant sanctuary and so much more. As busy as we were, there was also a good amount of free time scheduled. I look forward to my next trip! Fingers crossed it will be Morocco in early ‘25.

Just spent almost a month Thailand with Melissa and Wade. This covered both the northern Thailand trip and the Thailand beaches trip. The beaches trip was my 9th trip with Pennypinchingglobetrotter@yahoo.com. As always Melissa had everything planned perfectly and Wade was never far when someone needed a helping hand. The trips were a blast and I have more new travel buddies! Honestly I would say if you are reading this and thinking of booking a trip DO IT! You can't go wrong traveling with Wade and Melissa.

I just returned from my first tour with PPGT of Northern Thailand. It far exceeded my expectations in every way! As someone who is still working, I appreciated the well planned logistics and choices for accommodations and activities, including temples, historical sites, painting, tea tasting, cooking, elephant sanctuary and the night market. Melissa was responsive and supportive both prior to and during the tour. This experience was so enriching that I’ve signed up for another tour! I can hardly wait!

Just finished my 5th trip with PPGT and have 5 more scheduled! The itineraries are all varied and interesting. There is always a nice mix of activities planned along with some “on your own” time. Travel and time frames are well thought out and enjoyable. For me, Melissa and Wade usually have something that I haven’t done before, such as a cooking class, that I may have not chosen on my own and it turns out fun! I never have to worry about anything, they help out with any questions I may have. I will continue to travel with PPGT!
