To preserve its significance, oil tycoon and philanthropist John D. Rockefeller and his wife Abby restored and reconstructed Williamsburg into a living history heritage park, where actors in period costume depict colonial life. During the holiday season, the historic area is decked out with decorations you would find in 18th-century Virginia. Wreaths, for example, are adorned with everyday items from nature, such as pine cones, fresh and dried fruits, cotton, cinnamon sticks, and strands of coffee beans. The decorations are charming … and so creative!
