Moon Salutations, Chandra Namaskar, चंद्र नमस्कार
This two hour workshop offers you a gentler form of the yogic sequence of Moon Salutations that works well for any level of experience and skill. The focus is on the flow and the flexibility the abdominal breath and asanas supports your mind and body to develop.
To align with the moon’s cycles, you can practice this sequence of poses to honor the new moon or full moon. The Moon Salutation refers to a sequence of yoga poses that helps you calm the central nervous system and prepare your body for rest. Moon Salutation is performed during the night. The solar/sun energy in your body is your masculine energy. The lunar/moon energy in your body is your feminine energy. Everyone has both. This is vital to keep in balance to nourish our mind, body and soul.
Through this yoga practice, we apply the most basic breathing technique that is taught in the Pranayama (basics) workshop which will be briefly reviewed here.
