The South-West counties of Kerry and Cork are among the most popular for visitors and, if you are visiting Ireland for the first time, you will enjoy this experience.
this part of the country is really a picture-postcard region with its rugged, rustic and wild scenery and landscape and perhaps it matches what first-time visitors expect Ireland to look like.
Expect narrow, winding country roads, craggy coastlines and verdant landscapes in abundance.
the coastline of the South West is a meandering mix of inlets, cover and peninsulas, so there is plenty of opportunity for cliff-top walks and rambles. Inland, the landscape is scarcely less rugged: throughout the region, farmland is interspersed with rocky outcrops and bogs which break up the luscious green vistas.
We stay in Killarney and Kenmare.

Secret Ireland Tours are committed to doing everything possible to keep our clients safe while on tour with us in Ireland. As many know we rescheduled all of our 2020 tours to 2021 and we are keeping in close contact with the health Department in Ireland. All of the venue's and hotels we use have completed a Safety Charter course which allowed them to open to the public. We will not visit any site or stay in any hotel that has not completed this course. It was created by the tourist board in Ireland. We will do everything in our power to keep everybody safe.
We believe that this tour that was rescheduled will go ahead but we will keep a close eye on the conditions and if we need to reschedule again, we will do so in consultation with you our clients.
We pick you up at the airport by 9am the morning of the first day of the tour, we then make our way South, first to Rock of Cashel. This is an amazing place that dates back to the 5th century. It is said that St Patrick said the first mass here and he converted the High King here also. It has a long and sorry history and we learn all about it when we are taken around by the wonderful guides that work there.
We then go to Blarney Castle where you can kill the Blarney Stone if you wish. Again the grounds of this place is amazing and they have a very strange garden, with all sorts of things growing in it. We then go to our accommodation in Kenmare. Which is the Kenmare Bay Hotel.
