About this trip

I've been going back and forth to Thailand for the last 4 years and each time I fall in love a little bit more. The nature, the food, the people, the culture- there is so much beauty to be explored in this magical country and I've been dreaming of leading a retreat here for so long. It was in the winter of 2016 that I stumbled upon a tiny island I'd never heard of and felt like I'd found home. An island overflowing with pristine beaches, amazing food, and incredible nature to explore. An island filled to the brim with magic, located amongst the limestone karsts of Phang Nga bay. An island that continues to beckon me back into her sweet saltwater time and time again.

I am over the moon ecstatic to invite you to join me on this little dream island of Koh Yao Noi, Thailand this upcoming January 20-27, 2020.

The week will consist of daily yoga, meditation, and embodiment practices, lots of adventure, delicious meals, and a cultivation of community. Our time will be interwoven with astrology as we prepare to celebrate the Aquarius new moon on the 24th. We will be staying on a super rad property in uniquely designed tree houses and there are options for everyone (even couples!). I've poured a lot of love into the planning of this week and worked really hard to keep the prices as low as possible. I recognize that it is a long and expensive flight to get you there (so so worth it!) and for that reason it was important to me that it be very affordable.

Heres what's included:

-7 nights accommodation in your treehouse of choice
-twice daily yoga, meditation, breath work, and embodiment practices
-astrology workshops & mini readings
-new moon ceremony & ritual
-breakfast buffet (excluding arrival day)
-3 lunches
-3 dinners
-one hour traditional Thai massage
-an island hopping & snorkel tour around Phang Nga Bay on a traditional Thai long tail boat
-a guided jungle hike to the "big tree" and private beach
-roundtrip airport & boat transfer to/from the island

**Not included but optional activities include:
-world class rock climbing (beginner to advanced)
-scuba diving
-muay thai boxing
-1:1 breath work sessions
-1:1 intuitive energy healing sessions
-spa activities
-Thai cooking lesson
-motorbike rental to tour the island

There will be lots of free time to lounge on the beach, book some of the above activities, and explore the island. For this reason I chose not to include all meals as there are so many incredible (and cheap!) restaurants you'll want to try. There is a small town and some restaurants within walking distance as well as the closest beach. Taxis cost about $2-$5 depending on where you are going and there will be bicycles and motorbikes for rent.

Accommodation Options

Price listed is the total package price per person inclusive of all of the above.

**Note that payment plans are available.

*Luxury Tree House 3- Garden view. Sleeps 3 people, has kitchen, and outdoor balcony. $850/pp

*Little Treehouse- A cozier option with 2 single beds. There is no kitchen and the bathroom and shower are located outside of the treehouse, just next door, fully enclosed for privacy (and super funky!) $730/pp **available as a single for $900

*Love Nest- Slightly smaller than the luxury houses, includes kitchen and large outdoor veranda with hammock. The love nest has 2 beds and can accommodate 2 single persons, one couple, or one couple + one single person (discounted). $900/pp SOLD OUT

*Family Treehouse- Larger house that sleeps 3 people. Has two floors and an outdoor balcony. The bathroom and shower are located outside of the treehouse, close by. $750/pp *SOLD OUT

*Mushroom House-  this house is the only non-treehouse as it is located at ground level. Sleeps 2 people. $800/pp *SOLD OUT

*Open Treehouse- This is the budget option for someone who is looking to be one with the outdoors. The treehouse is open air and includes only a bed inside. Bathroom is separate. Sleeps 1 person or 1 couple (discounted). $725/pp *SOLD OUT

If you are unsure which accommodation to book, I have photos of all houses and can help to make the best decision for you. Please note that there is no air conditioning on the property, houses are all equipped with fans. There are mosquito repelling plants all around the houses and bugs shouldn't be a huge issue. There is no wifi on the property but for less than $10 you can buy a SIM card for your phone to have data the entire time you're in the country. This is not a boujee or glamorous retreat but instead one that will give you an authentic Thai experience. That may or may not include some occasional friendly lizards saying hello in your room :)

Flight- Airfare is not included. You are responsible for getting yourself to Phuket International Airport on the morning of Jan 20 where you will be picked up and driven to the pier to catch our private boat that will bring you to the island. All transportation once in the country is included in your trip cost.

*If coming from the east coast you will look for a flight leaving on 1/18 as time difference and flight time will have you arriving 2 days later on 1/20. We will have a closing ceremony on 1/26 evening and you will fly out on 1/27 (or extend your trip!)

*The 2 options to look at are:

        1. Round trip flight from Departure City to Phuket International. This is easiest and saves you the hassle of booking multiple flights but may be slightly more expensive.

        2. Round trip flight from Departure City to Bangkok (BKK) and separate domestic flight from Bangkok to Phuket. slightly more work but potentially will save $$

Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions! I am so excited to be your guide on this adventure :)

My friend Lynne and I spent a week at the beauty of simplicity yoga retreat in Thailand in March. It was much more than a yoga retreat in fact and the whole experience was truly wonderful and restorative. Molly Rose taught long yoga sessions in the morning which for me not being very experienced., was a perfect combination of flow and yin. Every day had a different experience in the afternoon and we learned about the island ways. A highlight was a boat trip to the smaller local islands which are uninhabited although pictographs on the cliffs suggest they once were thousands of years ago! Our meals prepared by Molly Roses husband Sam, a chef, were amazing and we ate together on a table on the beach. There was much more and I could go on …but I personally had a unique and very positive experience and highly recommend The Beauty of Simplicity!

I am so incredibly grateful to have been a part of “The Beauty of Simplicity” women’s Thailand yoga retreat by Molly and Sam of Sirena Retreats. Daily meditation and yoga, beautifully, thoughtfully, intuitively and lovingly led by Molly. Unbelievably delicious, healthy meals and juices freshly and lovingly prepared and beautifully presented by Sam, with the freshest local ingredients. Very inexpensive daily massages by lovely local women if we wanted, (yes please!) sunrise tai chi on the beach, sound baths, Chinese medicine healers, batik with local artisans, island boat trip, sea swimming, bbq on the beach, unending fresh mango, pineapple, watermelon and coconut shakes……From the moment we arrived by speed boat to Ko Yao Noi until we left the same way a week later, Molly and Sam thought of and took care of everything. I will forever remember their kindness, their go-with-the-flow attitudes and the lovely new friends I was so privileged to spend time with..truly embodying and embracing the beauty of simplicity. Thank you. 🙏☺️❤️

The first night Molly said, “we’ve got you” and I felt that every minute of this retreat. She and her husband nourished my mind, body and soul through intuitive practices, delicious food and thoughtful reflections. I highly recommend a retreat with these beautiful people. I instantly felt safe and cared for. If you’re even considering a yoga retreat, do it and do it with Molly Rose.
